A Hello from Dún Na nÓg

Who we are
Yeria, trading as Dún na nÓg has many years of experience in protecting vulnerable children and young people.
We work ethically to national standards, and we believe passionately in making a difference to young people’s lives.
We have a highly motivated leadership and a trained care team. We are invested in homes beneficial to ensuring that the young people entrusted to our care have a positive stake in Irish society. Hence, our strong focus on community integration and education.

Where we are
We, at Dún na nÓg’s several locations in Dublin, are caring for young people displaced by the ongoing conflict in Ukraine. The young people residing in our service are living in Ireland without the comfort of having their parents or other family members to protect and support them.

Our Core Values
The safety and welfare of children is everyone’s responsibility, and the best interest of the child is our guiding principle. Dún na nÓg has a duty of care to provide a safe space for young people, ensuring they are safeguarded from neglect, abuse, physical and emotional harm,

What we strive for
Dún na nÓg has assumed a duty of care to provide a safe space for young people, ensure they are safeguarded from neglect, abuse, physical and emotional harm, in a healthy, learning environment. We intervene proportionately to support them and families to keep children safe from harm.
We work with the young people in our care to support their ongoing development, arrange for their continuing education, and to promote their integration into local communities, so far, with great success.

Who we work with
Dún na nÓg work directly with Tusla’s Department for Separated Young People Seeking Internation Protection. Our services are registered with Tusla’s Alternative Care, Inspection and Monitoring Services and are subject to regular inspections ensuring our continued compliance with state legislation and best practice.
